Vision

God’s Word. Every Child. – the mission of OneHope summarized. It’s a massive undertaking that can’t be done alone but requires reliance on the Lord and partnership with churches and friends of the ministry.

You know the saying ‘hindsight is 20/20’, and it’s true for reflecting on the journey of OneHope, too. As we work toward the future of the ministry, we’re actually building on the miracles of the past. Our vision and reliance on God in the days ahead are rooted in His faithfulness.

I’ve shared before how we were instructed to advance this mission of sharing God’s Word with children ‘through leaders.’ We didn’t know exactly what that meant at the time but looking back we can see how that played out. The Minister of Education in El Salvador gave us permission to share God’s Word with all their school children for our first distribution. Government officials in Russia granted us permission to share the Gospel in schools, too. We were the first ministry allowed in public schools after the country was reopened – it was absolutely miraculous! Nothing we personally did could have convinced these government leaders to have a dramatic change of heart. It was God who moved.

More recently, God has allowed us to cross paths with incredible partners like our friends at YouVersion, who are innovating the way people engage with the Bible. The Kids Bible Experience is a new project for pre-teens that we’ve been working on together – a collaboration that’s helping us progress toward God’s Word. Every Child. It’s exciting to think of how many young people will interact with the Kids Bible Experience in the days ahead. Later, we will be able to look back at what the Lord has done in this moment, just as He’s been faithful in the past. Our glance at the past prepares us for the vision of the future.
