Mental health was on the decline pre-COVID, it’s only tanked since.
Part of the problem lies in the way we talk—or don’t—about mental health. It’s ok to share our physical ailments, but mental illness issues are hush-hush.
We cheer on a coworker in their fight against cancer. But are we cheering as loudly, or even at all, for the coworker who is battling near-debilitating anxiety?
Do we even know they are struggling? If we’re honest, probably not.
That needs to change.
It starts with learning to talk about mental unhealth in a healthy way.
